"Lana's Dwarfs" was established March 16 1995.
Who We Are? We are professional teachers who have united the efforts and knowledge for achievement of an overall aim - creations and developments of a daycare of new type.

LANA GAVRILUTSA – in business since 1985.

The graduate of the Kishinev Pedagogical Institute: Bachelor degree in Psychology and Pedagogy of Early Childhood Education.

Early childhood education diploma.

Pediatric First Aid and CPR certified

Author of a unique technique of preparation for school: "Learning alphabet and mathematics through arts and crafts".

Production director of children's theatrical groups

RINA GRATS – in business since 1963.

Bachelor of Education (Kishinev Pedagogical Institute)

Master degree in Speech Therapy (Moldova State University)

Early childhood education diploma.

Logopedist, author of an unique technique of speech defects corrections and development of speech.

Our aim is to provide a secure, happy, loving, and safe environment, which enables each child to reach his/her full mental, physical and social growth potential.
We put a maximum of energy and positive emotions because we are engaged in that business which we love and in work we trust.




OUR GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

To encourage and foster the development of positive self-esteem and self concept; To promote the development of each child into a self-confident, risk-taking learner for life To promote the development of positive social skills. To promote the development of fine and gross motor skills. To promote the development of cognitive and creative skills in the areas of literacy, math, science, music, art, and language development. To promote the development of independence, self-reliance, and self-discipline. To promote the development of positive communication skills.



HOURS AND MEALS

• "Lana's Dwarfs" day care is open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. We are closed on the following official holidays, as well as on 5 days determined in advance. Earlier drop-off and later pick-up times can be arranged. If it needs to be on a consistent basis an additional cost per hour will be calculated into your rate but it must be approved beforehand. • We providing 5 meals a day: breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks.


OUR HOLIDAYS AND CLOSING DAYS

Please see below for our scheduled holidays and closing days: Winter Break Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday President’s Day Memorial Day Summer Break Independence Day Labor Day Columbus Day Veterans Day Thanksgiving Day and following Friday Also we reserve the right to take a few days off at own expense (without payment), but will make an announcement in a few weeks prior that day(s).




OUR DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAM:

MATHEMATICS
colors, shapes, sizes numbers 0-9, number line 0-10 (to 20), counting to 20 (to 100) and back ordinal numbers number formation ways to make numbers comparing numbers and objects, signs (<, >, = ) making and solving simple word problems simple geometry measurements time and money
ENGLISH LANGUAGE

SPEECH DEVELOPMENT
vocabulary enrichment reading children’s literature of various subjects and discussing it with the children reading and retelling stories forming stories based on a series of pictures/drawings creating own stories memorizing poems performing children’s stories
NATURAL SCIENCE

daily observation of nature and weather seasons, months, days of the week flora fauna the person and his health the world around us (behavior ethics, mutual relationships between people, holidays, etc)
ART
The main goal-introduction of fine arts, as well as motor development and preparation of the hand for writing through lessons in drawing, painting, clay and paper craft.
